Bill Bedford

Bill is a Country Music singer from Clare SA.

Bill was inducted into the Riverland Country Music Hall of Fame in 2003.

Bill is one of SA's most noted Balladeers. He has spent many years working on the Country Music scene and had the very popular Country Roundup Band. Bill has appeared at most Country Music Clubs and Venues in the past and is still kept busy as a Solo Artist.

Bill Bedford has been entertaining Country Music lovers for many years.

Bill has a genuine love of Country Music and bush ballads, which he sings so well.

Bill formed his own band called "Bill Bedford's Country Roundup" and together they performed all around S.A.

In later years Bill and his daughter Kylie (who sadly passed away in December 2001) performed across the country from Oodnadatta to Charleville and to both Metropolitan and Country audiences. They performed at both Barmera and Tamworth Festivals each year.

Country Music Pioneers such as Buddy Williams, Slim Dusty and Stan Coster have been a major influence on Bill and the high standards set by these great artists are reflected in Bill's performances.

However Bill included music by great Australian and overseas artists including Anne Kirkpatrick, Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Judds, Tanya Tucker, Norma Murphy and Merle Haggard to name a few.

Bill and Colleen (who so ably takes care of the sound system) will continue to entertain audiences with their genuine approach to what they do."
