Sonni Francis

Sonni started at the age of 47 at Cabaret, dinner dance and Jazzy functions at Paradise Hotel for 5 years.

She soon moved into Country, sang with Chris Valladaves and others at Nursing homes, Minda Home, and private functions at the Albion Hotel, Rose and Crown and Hilton Hotel.

She sang duets with “FireeIce” singing 60-40 music in 1999.

She found country music was her favourite genre, doing walk-ups with most of the Adelaide Country Music Clubs (including the Adelaide Club, Gawler, Barossa, Murray Bridge and the Kilburn RSL).  She has toured with Chooka Williams, Guido Davis and Des Morgan doing Patsy Cline tributes.  The group went to Mannum, Wellington, Callington, Marion RSL and Murray Bridge.

She regularly attends Barmera, Port Pirie and Mildura Festivals.

She also was with the “Recliners” for a while.

For approx three years she performed at a regular country music function on Thursday evenings with Cobbers & Co. at the Albion Hotel and on Port Adelaide River Cruises.  She also often accompanied Chris Valladaves at the Junction Markets.

Sonni has been organizing the artists for the Kilburn RSL Country Music functions for several years (in 2011)
