Finally on May 30 2007 the below was sent by Kathryn! Thanks!

Born 21st March 1970, Danny started learning guitar in 1983. He first played with the band Species Unknown in 1983, they played whatever they liked, playing at parties and stuff. Danny got robbed of his musical instruments and with no insurance the band dismembered. Danny had to work hard to replace some of what he had lost. (Lesson learned, have your instruments & gear insured) At least he still had his Fender Copy Guitar, which meant he could still sit in with bands using a borrowed amp& earn some money to buy another amp & start building up his musical instruments again.

In 1989 Danny enrolled in TAFE to study Commercial Music Certificate IV, here he met his wife. They have two children Maiden & Jasmine.

Danny worked to part time jobs as a laborer in a brick yard & a Cook in a Cafe and played when he could.

After his divorce in 1998, Danny returned to study, gaining his diploma in Commercial Music and Advanced Diploma in Commercial Music Performance in 2000. Danny went further to Adelaide University, where he studied to become a Music Teacher, Graduating in December 2004.

He is actually Daniel Julius Gyory, Dip. Commercial Music Performance, .Adv. Dip. Music Performance, Bach. Music Teaching Sec. Hons.

You can call him Danny G or Sir!

Danny now teaches guitar at several schools around Adelaide. He spends his free time helping other performers & Bands with music arrangements and improving their skills. His motto being "Your success is my success”

The first Country Music Band Danny was involved with was Rosemary & Co. He got on board with them after meeting Rose & Bill at the Friday Night Karaoke gig at the Rheepham Hotel in Prospect in 2001.

Rosemary & Co. played various gigs around Adelaide and at Country Music Clubs.

It was at this time that he really started getting into the Country Music and look at it with more interest, moving away from mainstream top 40 and he started listening to mainstream Country.

Danny is inspired by guitarist such as, Chet Atkins, Tommy Emanuel, Scotty Anderson and by Singers & Bands like Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Mark Wills, Lonestar, Diamond Rio & Big & Rich. Just to name a few. He came to realize that Country Music can be as simple or as complex as you make it.

He started re-harmonising country standards on his guitar and turning them into instrumental pieces.  Loving nothing more on a day off from school than to sit with his guitar playing around with tunes like Secret Love, Crazy, Cheatin' Heart and any old tune that pops in his head.

He will continue rearranging music and would like to spend more time writing his own songs & spend some time in the studio. Danny is keen to jam with other country music bands, especially one with peddle steel.

In Danny’s 1st competitive entry in the instrumental section at Barmera he won 1st place with a guitar instrumental performing Patsy Cline's "Crazy" in June 2005. Then performing with the band 2 Dogs 'n a Ute, they came 2nd in Band section and also runner up in Battle of the Bands.
