• Jim has competed in the 2012 Port Pirie Talent Quest and was awarded 2nd place, and the
• in 2012 Gawler Music Festival and won the Clive Fosleitner Encouragement Award.
• In 2012 Jim was awarded the Country Music SA “Champion of Champions”
• in 2013 Jim again took out a 2nd place award at the Gawler Music Festival talent quest

He is known in the Country Music Industry as “Big Jim the Irishman”.

Jim has been on the SCMC Committee, he was the Vice President in 2015.
