Lorraine Darling
Lorraine lived in Lochiel in her early years, later moving to the copper triangle. Lorraine has been a tireless worker in the music industry for many years, community radio at Kidina, on the festival committee at Port Pirie and organizing country music events on York Peninsula including the Cornish festival for Moonta, Wallaroo and Kadina. With such dedication to country music she was a worthy recipient of the 28th Annual South Australian Country Music Festival & Awards Industry Award in 2006. In 2000 Lorraine was awarded the Industry Award from the South Australian Council of Country Music. Sadly Lorraine passed away last July 2024 An Album of some of Ian Fisk's photos of Lorraine
