Emily Smith has been playing guitar since the age of 7 years old, yet even before this she always dreamed about playing guitar. She is now 22 and in her 15 years of playing she has achieved a great deal.
Emily’s confidence and musicianship developed during high school where she attended Trinity College, Gawler. This earned her much praise and recognition throughout the school and local community during her final years as a senior. Since she began playing country music a year ago, she has played at various festivals, including Mildura, Barmera, Gorgeous Festival in McLaren Vale and the Tamworth Festival 2012. Emily brings an exciting passion to her art, playing electric guitar, acoustic guitar and mandolin. In Tamworth she accompanied many performers and was well received by members of the public and other artists. In Adelaide she teaches a Senior School rock band and teaches guitar for individual tuition. She also accompanies various artists across many genres. Most notably, Emily has been working closely in a popular Adelaide duo with singer songwriter, and 2012 Academy of Country Music graduate, Melody Feder. In this role, Emily is enjoying her opportunities to develop as a country guitarist and backing vocalist. |
