Staye are a Western Australia Country Music Duo comprised of Steve Atkinson & Gaye Williams. The name comes from the combination of their names.
They are from Burekup, Western Australia.
Award Winning Duo STAYE - Steve Atkinson and Gaye Williams have been combining their unique styles for a decade entertaining crowds, young and old, across all parts of Australia and New Zealand.
“Very entertaining with the ability to handle the audience very well.” “Excellent! Something different”- are comments commonly expressed by audiences.
Steve’s talent on guitar and keyboard unite with Gaye’s flair for percussion, harmonies and vocals to provide audiences with a memorable and entertaining encounter.
Their extensive repertoire of music styles includes country, old time classic hits, country rock, rock ‘n’ roll guarantees to have audiences clapping their hands, stomping their feet and singing along. Active participation is encouraged, after all audience enjoyment is first and foremost for this double act and an optional extra for special occasions is an appearance by “Elvis” promising something for everyone.
Since the release of their debut CD “STAYE ... tuned in”, and with appearances right across Australia and New Zealand their popularity has exploded.
STAYE are now on the road touring in their 30’ Isuzu bus and their reputation as professional and dedicated entertainers has made return bookings a common occurrence. See below for recent references.They are on the move again in 2007!
